Avery and Ashley Update

Since we have not added anything to the blog in a while I thought it would be a good idea to just add some various pictures of the kids since January. They both are changing so fast.
Avery just finished his first preschool class and is ready for a fun filled summer. He is all boy. Loves to play in the dirt and play with rollie pollies. As of recently Avery loves Veggie Tales and going to Petsmart to look at the frogs and turtles. He is really getting to know his letters and shapes.
Ashley is changing everyday. She is over 7 months now and about 18 pounds. She is sleeping great sometimes past 9 am. She is well into the solid foods. We have not found much she does not like yet. She really liked the avocado and bananas we gave her recently. She is very happy and is usually smiling. I get such a kick out of watching Avery and Ashley together(usually have to watch pretty close to make sure Avery is playing nice). Avery loves to make her laugh. They both will be laughing and squealing over the silliest things. It does get pretty loud but I love it.

Mother's Day

It was a very Happy Mother's Day this year. Starting the day with a big hug from Avery and a big smile from Ashley was a wonderful way to start the day. We went to church and then went over to my parents for brunch and then out to MaMa and PaPa's for late lunch (Avery loves playing out in the country and working in the garden). I love being a mom and I am so blessed to be Avery and Ashley's mom

Our New Addition

Our new baby girl, Ashley Victoria Roelse was born on 10-10-10 at 8:35 PM. She weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 19 1/4 inches long.

Trip to Austin Zoo

We had a great time at the Zoo last week. We had a playgroup there with our Sunday School Class. Avery had a great time. He chased a lot of Chickens and Peacocks and got to hug a goat. He got to ride his first train, which he really like a lot. He is still talking about it now. They did not have a lot of animals, so we are ready to go to a bigger zoo to see some elephants and giraffes.

Avery's favorite part of his cake was licking the icing
off the Sesame Street Characters that sat on top of cake.

Avery update and Playing at Chick-fil-a

Avery has changed so much over the last year. Which is about when our last post was. He amazes us everyday, especially his vocabulary. He can repeat almost anything we say to him. He loves to sing songs. One of his favorites is the Alphabet song, he may repeat a few letters but he is only 2 (well in 11 days). He is in a big boy bed now, which has been an easy transition so far. He loves Sesame Street and Winnie the Pooh. Some of his favorite foods are "Mac n Cheese", " bok bok eggs", and "PaPa beans". We love to go where he can play and burn of energy. It is great to watch him play. We go to the park when its nice enough outside, but when its not we go to Chik-fil-a (he calls it"Chickiea") . He always has a blast when we go there.
